Left the half-term holiday too late? Don’t worry – you can still nab one of these fantastic holidays. 

1. For an African adventure: £176 off the Gambia

2. For a family get-together: a house in Cornwall for £617

This three-bedroom house is only five minutes’ walk from the centre of this attractive Cornish port, is available for a week from 20 October at £617. If you can manage only three nights, it’s available for £440.

3. For family fun: £715 off a Corfu holiday

Sunvil is knocking £715 off its self-catering holiday to the Olga Apartment in west Corfu. If you fly from Manchester on 23 October, you pay a total price of £1,796 for two adults and two children. The two-bedroom apartment has a shared pool and is only a few minutes’ walk from the beach.

4. For a Spanish break: Costa Dorada for £379

Have sand, sun and water parks on your doorstep on the Costa Dorada. Jet2holidays has a seven-night break at the 4-star Hotel Dorada Palace from £379pp, departing 20 October. It includes half-board, Stansted flights and transfers, and is based on two adults and two children.


5. For a countryside getaway: £100 off a Northumberland cottage

Get cosy in the Northumberland countryside where beaches, cycle paths and walking trails are within easy reach. Premier Cottages is offering three nights at Causeway Barn, which has two bedrooms from 20 October for £599, a saving of £100.

6. For a seaside jaunt: a Suffolk cottage for £439

Move quickly to book a week with Sykes Cottages, which has 7 Coastal Cottages near the beach at Kessingland on the Suffolk coast. A week’s rental from 20 October for the two-bedroom cottage is now £439, and the beach is a five-minute walk away.

7. For a spooky night out: a Halloween preview in the Cotswolds

Take the family for a night at Tewkesbury Park in the Gloucestershire countryside and you can get into the Halloween spirit. For £250 during half-term week, two adults and one child can spend the night in the luxurious Cotswold hotel, including dinner and breakfast. 8. For a Balearic break: Mallorca for £475

9. For an Atlantic escape: £2,092 off a Bermuda family holiday

Prestige Holidays has slashed £2,092 off the coast of its luxury holiday to Bermuda. A week at the Fairmont Southampton costs from £2,729 per adult and £935 per child, departing 22 October. The hotel has its own golf course, a choice of nine restaurants and a shuttle to its private beach club. The price includes Gatwick flights and transfers.

10. For an Adriatic holiday: Croatia for £849

Save £120 off a holiday on Croatia’s northern Adriatic coast near Paklenica National Park. Neilson is offering seven nights at Alana Beachclub, which has a beach, indoor and outdoor pools and a free kids’ club, from £849pp, departing 22 October. The price includes Manchester flights to Zadar, transfers, most meals and a range of activities.

11. For winter fun: take the family to the Ski & Snowboard Show
