After World War II ended, military aircraft continued to use Roborough, but the airport slowly transitioned to civilian flights. In 1970 it became the base for the regional carrier Brymon Airways, and in 2009 it still served around 157,000 passengers. Just two years later the airport was declared uneconomical and was mothballed, and the future of the site remains uncertain today.
