Just 13 days after Hurricane Helene's destruction, Hurricane Milton struck the west coast of Florida, western Cuba and Yucatán in Mexico. The tropical storm turned into a Category 5 hurricane in less than 24 hours, resulting in one of the strongest Atlantic hurricanes in history.
