Highlighting the company's customised approach, the 6,000-square-foot (557sqm) house was designed to perfectly meet the needs of the owners – as well as the extreme desert heat of Palm Springs.

The plot benefits from stunning views of the San Jacinto Mountains to the west, so Sander Architects designed a home with an enormous roof canopy, with pods tucked underneath containing the living spaces. Large sheets of glass frame the exterior view, while the roof protects from sun infiltration.

The house is divided into four separate buildings: the main living, dining, kitchen and family spaces, a private master suite to the south and two guest cottages to the north, all under one roof. This arrangement allows for open, airy breezeways between the buildings, providing greater privacy between spaces.
