Originally, visitors could ascend the spiral staircase to a viewing platform in front of the light, but this has long been closed. Today, passers-by can read this plaque on the monument, which pinpoints the coordinates of the ship's sinking. The lighthouse has undergone a large-scale renovation project and is due to reopen sometime in 2026.
