However in 2018, Ford Motor Co purchased the depot for $90 million (£70m) with a promise to bring it back to life by transforming it into an innovation centre and campus. The former Beaux-Arts station reopened in June 2024 and incorporates tech labs, workspaces, testing infrastructure, restaurants, retail stores, events and exhibitions spaces, art, and indoor and outdoor collaborative spaces.
