The entire airline industry saw a dip of 2.7% in customer satisfaction for 2018. But one airline bucking this trend is Spirit, which saw a 2% rise in satisfaction among its customers. Despite their increased score, last year, Spirit Airlines was listed as the worst airline for delays in America.
One of the worst airlines for mishandling or losing baggage in 2017, American Airlines sits in fifth place as one of the top for customer satisfaction. Their score of 74 out of 100 is, however, 3% lower than last year.
Rising a strong 4% on last year's score, Allegiant Air is seen to be improving its customer satisfaction. Although, last year the airline received 47 complaints in August alone.
One of the worst airlines for flight delays in the US in 2017, JetBlue have lost 4% on their customer satisfaction rating this year.
In first place, Southwest Airlines hasn't moved an inch on last year's score, sitting pretty at 80 out of 100. This comes just a week after one of the airline's Boeing 737s made an emergency landing when an engine blew up, tragically killing one passenger. The airline was also ranked second worst in the US for mishandling baggage.
